Basic Directions
BY FOOT
Harvard Square (Red Line)
Exit the station by the Harvard Yard/Church Street stairs.
Follow signs for Harvard Yard, enter the Yard and bear left
across it, exit by the north (Thayer) gate. Turn in front of
the Science Center. When you leave the campus, you will be on
Cambridge Street (along Memorial Hall) Irving Street is 2nd
left off Cambridge Street, 24 is first house on right.
Logan Airport
Take S1 Silver LIne from terminal to South Station. Take the
Red Line from South Station INBOUND (towards Alewife), exit at
Harvard.
South Station (commuter rail, Amtrak & bus terminal)
Take Red Line towards ALEWIFE, exit at Harvard.
|Taking the FUNG WAH bus from NYC? It will leave you at the
entrance to Chinatown, just across a large intersection from
South Station.
Back Bay Station (terminal for some New England buses)
Take Orange Line INBOUND to Downtown Crossing; then Red Line
towards ALEWIFE, exit at Harvard.
(Amtrak and some commuter trains stop at Back Bay, but they
continue to South Station which is MUCH better for getting to
Cambridge)
From Logan Airport
Board the Silver Line at any terminal, going to South Station.
Take the Red Line subway at South Station, bound for ALEWIFE.
Exit Harvard, see above.
BY CAR
Harvard Square
From the river coming up JFK Street, or Boston/Central Square
on Mass Ave--bear right as you see Harvard Yard on right. You
will go under Yard, bear left in underpass; turn left onto
Quincy Street. Turn right on Kirkland; Irving Street is 3rd
right. 24 is just after large brick building. Driveway is
just beyond house.
Mass Pike (Route 90)
Take Brighton/Cambridge exit (from the West it is a left
exit). There is an exit toll of $1. Follow signs for Cambridge
& get in left lane. Turn left BEFORE you cross bridge, onto
Soldiers Field Road Exit at Harvard Square
