Description
Housed in a former railroad station ticket office, the Nantucket Aquarium is just one of the educational facilities associated with the Maria Mitchell Association, and along with the Mitchell House, the Natural Science Museum in Hinchman House and two observatories, provides visitors with a glimpse of the wide wide world, from sea to the stars. In addition to 20 salt-water tanks showcasing native coastal creatures and a recently expanded exhibit space, the MMA Aquarium also has touch tanks good for hands-on learning and offers Ecology Field Trips.
