Description
A mammoth sperm whale skeleton greets visitors to the Nantucket Whaling Museum, a facility with historic whaling at its heart, from the height of the hunt (before whaline became politically incorrect) to traditonal tools. Wander exhibits detailing the island's rise to affluence during the heyday of the whaling industry, taking in fine art, portraiture and artifacts, take in the views from the observation deck and have a look at the restored features of a 19th-century candle factory.
