Description
An elegant mansion in the Elizabethan style, Ventfort Hall, the former home of JP Morgan's sister, Sarah Morgan, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places and opened to the public, offering a glimpse of America during the Gilded Age when Lenox was the resort destination of the nation's affluent. Though for some, the architecture is reason enough to visit Ventfort Hall there are also a range of events held here year-round as well as changing exhibits that explore Gilded Age themes, accessible on self-guided or guided tours.
